Vasyl Anatoliyovych Lomachenko is a professional boxer from the Ukraine.
He is currently a unified lightweight world champion, having held the WBA, WBO and Ring magazine titles since 2018, and previously the WBO featherweight and junior lightweight titles between 2014 and 2018.
Above all that, he is considered to have the best footwork and movement of any boxer, possibly ever.
How does he make everyone else look like they’re standing still while he looks like Neo from the Matrix?
He has been boxing since the age of 4.
However, from ages 9-13, his father sent him to learn traditional Ukrainian folk dancing. He travelled the country with national dance troupes and companies.
He attributes his 2 hours of dance study, daily, for those 4 years to his phenomenal footwork and balance in the boxing ring.
In about 10 professional fights he has already set himself up to be one of the all-time greats.
Sometimes when we have a goal, we can find indirect ways of reaching them.
Or sometimes it might be unintentional.
That is, what we’re doing now might seem like we are off-track, however, it may end up leading exactly where we want to go.
And it might even do so in a way we never could have hoped or imagined.
