If you know there is something you need to do, but you’re not doing it, stop.
Stop, and take 7 purposeful breaths.
Close your eyes if you have to.
With each breath in, actively feel the air entering through your nose.
Then feel your body release tension each time you exhale.
The first 2 or 3 breaths will be almost like settling breaths, slowing down the mind.
By the 4th breath, you will feel that urge in your stomach for the thing you are supposed to be doing.
Somewhere in the last 3 breaths, the impulse to take action will spark and compel you.
After your 7th exhalation, open your eyes.
Merely do what must be done.
…
Now, if you try this and still can’t work out how to overcome procrastination, consider taking time to sharpen your mind.
For example, meditation is easy and an effective tool. Here is how I meditate.
The ‘thing’ is never as big or as difficult as we make it out to be.
It’s easier if you merely do it.

And if you still feel stuck, take THE Big Breath.
