“I’m sick of myself.”
Have you ever said this to yourself?
If yes, you might be a super-hero.
Of course, dwelling in endless negativity is kind of a dead-end.
But recognizing the innate crappiness in humanity opens doors.
I just watched Ricky Gervais on a radio talk-show playing a game called, Unpopular Opinion.
Callers ring in and, after a small & unexpectedly catchy theme song, offer an unpopular opinion about anything.
The truth is if you can recognize that you have undesirable qualities – rather than walking blindly as if you’re the king of the world – you can escape the inescapable.
At least, you can minimize the effect of those qualities.
What I mean is you can accept the way things are, rather than trying to sustain or uphold a flimsy self-reflection of being some kind of unworldly figure.
Being able to see things as they are is a super-power. It keeps you grounded and actually makes space for exploration.
If you are feeling shitty about yourself, it might be a sign of good things to come.
